The Reason I Blog

"You will have significant experiences. I hope you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." -- Gordon B. Hinckley

Fall Fun

We've already had lots of Halloween fun!  We took advantage of Cornbelly's "Hometown Heroes" weekend at Thanksgiving Point and loved it!  They did free admission for all families of police officers, military and firefighters.

We played in bouncy houses, went down the potato sack slide, did some go-kart driving, took turns driving the fire truck, raced rubber duckies and ended with a tractor ride through the corn fields.  Oh, and don't forget the deep fried twinkie! (We were very skeptical, but it was SERIOUSLY good).

A few days later we went with the McCune's to the Vineyard Pumpkin Land and it never disappoints!

They have a perfect kid size corn maze, lots of animals to see in the farm, bouncy houses and slides, a little playground, and a kid friendly spook alley with a pumpkin patch at the end.  Perfect way to spend a cloudy fall afternoon.
